2026 Westman AA Program

Westman AA Softball Registration

For the 2026 softball season, Westman AA Softball is offering programming at the U11,
U13, U15, U17, and U19 levels. The opportunity to try out belongs to girls playing
community ‘A’ softball in the Westman and Parkland Regions, as indicated by Sport
Manitoba. If registrations allow, the committee is planning to form up to 4 teams per age
category.

Note: new for 2026 - addition of U19 and Parkland joining Westman

 The registration deadline is Sunday, March 22, 2026.

Try-Outs
- Dates: to be determined (usually the beginning of May)
- Tryout Locations: to be determined
- Fee: $40 (non-refundable)
- There will be an additional fee of $15 for late registrations
- Please e-transfer the fee to aasoftball21@gmail.com

Program Information
During ‘A’ Season:
- 3-8 Friday and/or Sunday practices
-  Showcase Weekend: June 12-14 (locations to be determined)
Completion of ‘A’ Season:
- Practices and games to be decided by coaches
Provincials:
- U11 & U13: July 24 - 26, Brandon
- U15, U17 & U19: August 7 - 9, Portage

 Fee: to be determined (in the past, they ranged from $200-$350)

Westman AA Softball - 2026 Coaches Required

For the 2026 season, Westman AA Softball is requesting coaches for the following age
categories: U11, U13, U15, U17, and U19. Parkland has been added to Westman, so we are
permitted to form up to 4 teams per age group. We are looking to base teams out of Brandon, the
north, Parkland, and the south.

Program Information
- Try-outs: the beginning of May (exact times and location(s) to be determined)

- During ‘A’ Season:
o 3-8 Friday & Sunday practices
o Showcase Weekend: June 12-14 (mandatory to attend provincials)

-  Completion of ‘A’ Season:
o practices and games to be decided by coaches
o Provincials:
o U11 & U13: July 24 - 26, Brandon
o U15, U17 & U19: August 7 - 9, Portage

Coach Certification Requirements

o Respect in Sport,
o Criminal Record Check,
o Creating a Positive Sport Environment,
o Foundations of Coaching Softball: Part 1,
o Make Ethical Decisions, including Online Evaluation, and
o Community Softball Ongoing Participation.
